The craze of the baked cheese tart has been going around for quite some time. Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart is the first baked cheese tart that I bought when the trend started in Malaysia. I have always been patronizing them for the longest time. The crunchy pastry skin combined with the soft flowing cheese is what makes me crave for more cheese tart!
When you cant get enough of the cheese tart, Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart has decided to come out with a brand new flavour! And I bet no one would have guessed that it is Durian flavoured baked cheese tart! When i first heard about it I was ecstatic to try it out as it combined both of my favourite food of all time: Cheese tart and Durian!
The durian cheese tart from Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart is made of D24 Durian and they use fresh durian flesh to make the tart. I have tasted it and it really does have a real durian flesh that combined with cheese when I bite into the cheese tart. To differentiate the Durian cheese tart from the original cheese tart, they make the crust wavy and spiky and it looks like the durian spiky skin.
There are different ways you can enjoy a cheese tart: chilled, frozen or warm. Personally I like it fresh out of the oven when it is warm. The aroma of a freshly baked cheese tart is the best and the cheese filling will flow out once you take a bite on it. I love the texture where the filling is not too creamy and the crust is crunchy at the same time!
